One Thumbnail is a free tool for downloading public YouTube thumbnails. This page explains what happens to information when you use the site. Brazilian visitors are covered by the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018).
What the tool does with a link
You do not need an account. The link you paste is used only to find and deliver the cover image.
- YouTube. The browser reads the public thumbnail address from the video id. That check stays on your device.
- If your browser cannot save the file, the image address on i.ytimg.com is sent to our server, which fetches it and hands it back. The file is not stored after that response.
What stays on your device
Recent links are saved in your browser’s local storage so the page can show them again. That list never leaves the device unless you paste a link and search. Clearing the site data in your browser deletes it.
Cookies and advertising
The tool itself does not set an analytics cookie. The host that serves the site may keep ordinary connection logs, including your IP address, to deliver the page and prevent abuse.
Every page loads Google AdSense so the site can be verified for advertising. Ads are not placed on the page yet. When that script runs, Google may set a cookie. Google’s own description is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Who else receives data
We do not sell personal data. A pasted link stays in your browser. The thumbnail is loaded from YouTube’s public image host. The AdSense script is loaded from Google. The site is hosted outside Brazil, so an IP address may be processed in another country to deliver the page.
Messages you send
If you use the contact form, the name, email, and message are saved so they can be read and answered. They are not published and not sold. You can ask for that message to be deleted.
Your rights
Under the LGPD you can ask for confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, deletion, anonymization, portability, and information about who we shared it with. You can also object to a use or revoke consent, and you can file a complaint with the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD). Because the tool does not keep an account or a copy of the links, there is usually nothing stored to return. The recent-link list is on your device and you can delete it there. To ask, use the address on the contact page.
Children
One Thumbnail is not directed at children. Do not paste a link if you are under the age required in your country to consent to this kind of use.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
